I have had the opportunity to play baseball for many years. My baseball career started when I was young playing T-ball and it has continued through the years. Baseball is my favorite sport and I have a passion to play the game every day. I enjoy playing baseball because of the ability to compete, have fun, being able to experience new things, and meeting new people. There are many people who have influenced who I am today. My family, teachers, friends, and coaches have all taught me lessons which have helped me become the person I am today. Throughout my baseball career, I was the starting catcher for my traveling tournament teams, Junior Legion team, my Freshman baseball team, and my JV team in high school. For my travel team this past summer I was on the 16U team, but I was moved up to the 17U team as the starting catcher. My goal this year is to be the starting catcher for our Varsity baseball team. My goal is to be able to play at the college level and hopefully a starter for my team. I have learned many things about myself through playing baseball. I have learned the qualities of leadership, time management, cooperation, dedication, and communication. My academic goals for high school is to average a 3.5 or higher GPA for the rest of my high school career. My academic goal for college is to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA above 3.0 or better while also competing at the college level in baseball. Some strong characteristics or skills I possess are easy going, kind, patience, good communicator, hard worker, team player, and being a good leader.
