It has always been by goal to play college baseball. I love playing baseball and want to pursue college baseball to allow me the opportunity to continue being part of a team and playing the sport I love. Over the years, I have not only learned the game of baseball, I have also learned so much from baseball beyond the game. I have learned how to be a team player, how to persevere when things get tough, how to develop a good work ethic to meet my individual and team goals, and how to lead by example. Some of my best and longest standing friendships have been created on the baseball field and I am looking forward to developing new friendships while playing college baseball.
I will be a 2023 high school graduate. My current GPA is 3.936. From a young age, my parents stressed the importance of good study habits and organizational skills which has helped me balance my course load and athletics demands. My stronger subjects are math and literacy. I have a rigorous schedule this year that includes Spanish IV, Chemistry and Algebra II along with other classes. As an athlete, I am currently playing both football and baseball. I am passionate and competitive and I put in a lot of time and effort both on and off the field to prepare for my sports. I like to workout on my own along with doing workouts together as a team to better myself and my team. On my baseball teams, I primarily play the positions of shortstop, pitcher and catcher. On my football team, I play quarterback and cornerback. This year, I am taking reps on both the varsity and JV football teams and for baseball, I have been asked to attend the varsity contact days leading up to tryouts in April.
My ultimate goal is to play baseball in the Midwest states surrounding my home state of Wisconsin. My family is very important to me and their support and encouragement has gotten me through the ups and downs of my day to day life which is why I would like to stay in the surrounding states. Should an opportunity arise outside of those states, I would be open to considering those options along with other divisions as well. I look forward to what my future holds both on and off the baseball field.
