Isaac Wendler '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Isaac Wendler and I’m a 2024 recruit. I attend Sun Prairie East High School. I have loved playing baseball ever since I picked up a bat in tee-ball. There is something about being on a team, playing with friends and working together on every play with the situations and strategy that fires up my competitive side. I’ve continued to work on my game skills and learn more about the game to become a better player and teammate. I made second team all-conference as a sophomore third baseman and batted third on our team, who qualified for state.

I’ve played with the same group of guys from my city at a really competitive level since we were in elementary school. I remember a game when I was 10 where I had a great hit but didn’t run as fast as I could, and the coach called me out. It was that day that I realized that my coaches and teammates expect and need me to contribute at maximum effort, and since that game I’ve tried to be the best baseball player I can every game, every at bat and every out. You can depend on me to be a leader by example, both in work ethic and attitude. I’m looking for a school with a baseball team who matches my competitiveness and meets my academic goals, which currently center around architecture or finance. You can count on me to give my all for your team.
