Peyton Schumann '23 Recruiting Profile

Besides being a 4.0 academic student this past quarter, I am a huge student of the game. I have been training 15-20 hours a week since January 2022 to improve my overall speed and strength with a Top Velocity coach. I trained on my own to improve my flexibility and strength, even setting up a garage space in the middle of a Wisconsin winter to throw med balls and working out after working a part-time job. You'll see that I am coachable and very committed to always getting better. I can help the team by leading by example. After this training, I have seen huge strides in speeds and exit velocity. My 60m dash went from 7.14 to 6.88, my bat exit velocity went from 88 to 94, my infield velocity went from 78 to 86.

My favorite infield spot is 3rd base. I also play outfield, and I am a RHP. I am working on increasing pitching velocity to the high 80s.

I hope to either help get athletes back on the field by studying exercise science/athletic training, or following a longtime desire to study meteorology.
