I’m Karina San Miguel, a junior at Juneau-Douglas High School. I am now entering my 4th year of cheer, with one being in 8th grade and the remainder during my freshman and sophomore years of high school. Both years I have been on the team, we have earned the titles of State and Regional Champions, and have come in 2nd place at USA Spirit Nationals twice. However, this upcoming season, the program will be going for its 5th consecutive win at the state and regional level. Being apart of such a hard-working team has helped me develop strong values of leadership, determination and teamwork.
As my years of high school cheer come to an end, I look forward to continue to work towards my passion at the collegiate level.
