Delanie Davis '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been cheering for  7 years now and it has become a part of who I am! I am a competition and sideline cheerleader. I have competed for Game Day and Show cheer. I am a main base, secondary base, and backspot, but I am more than willing to expand my variety of positions and skills I present to the team. 

I absolutely love the crowd! Engaging with the crowd is one of my favorite things about cheerleading! This involves not only my passion with the cheers and dancing. I’m able to express my school spirit towards everyone watching, as we cheer together for the place we call home.  I have won Most Spirited and Crowd’s Favorite a variety of times. I am very dedicated to not only my team, but to my entire school as well. Every time I step onto the grounds whether its the track, mat, field, or arena, I am going to cheer with all my heart. 

My natural spirit and driven personality would make a big impact on your squad.  Whether I am in the main stunt and at the point of the formation, or in a hidden location with newer members, I will perform with 110% every time. I have been given new fliers, bases, backspots, or any cheerleading position in general and I will be sure to stay patient to try my best to help them figure out reins of the team. This year I was given a brand new flier who had never even heard of certain skills and was told to hit it in a few minutes and with the help and encouragement from our stunt group and her determination, she went for barely hitting a prep, to hitting extension full downs and now working on lib full downs in less than a week. 

By placing me on your team I promise to  ouch myself into living up to my full potential as well as help out over members fo the same. I know what its like to be the odd one and confused at where your position is on the team yet, and I alway‘s want to help make sure I can help them figure that out along with letting them discover it on their own. Cheerleading is a not only a team sport, but a sport were you become a family, and with that family you always want to make sure to help eachother out, improve yourselves for one another, and use your own talents to build everyone up.
