Cheerleading has been a huge part of my life for 7 years now. I have grown so much and I am willing to use what I know while also learning from others in order to better my skills and adapt to my new cheer environment. Out of the 7 years that I have been a cheerleader I have been captain for 4 of them. Having the role of captain has allowed me to become more confident in myself and show how much personality and skills within team building I am able to bring to the squad. It has also taught me so many things from communication skills, to leadership skills, and social skills. Being a cheerleader has meant so much to me and has allowed me to become a part of a supportive group of young women and men who eventually became a family to me. While participating in cheer I also worked hard to maintain great academics in school. I have straight A's and I have received multiple academic letters and pins for my hard work and effort during the school year. I have grown so much as a person and I have allowed myself to open up too many new opportunities that come my way all because of cheerleading.
