Hello! My name is Lexie Hargrove and I am a Junior at Edmund Burke Academy. I have been a dancer since the moment I could walk and have never known life without it. I discovered my passion for cheerleading around the 7th grade, it has been a driving force in my life ever since. Through countless hours of practice and dedication, I have done stunts, tumbling, and dance til perfection and pushed myself to new heights both physically and mentally. I am a very dedicated member of our cheer team and will strive to make sure everyone is giving all they have and pulling the team together. I feel that I work easily with others, take corrections and apply them, and give all I can give until perfection.
I believe that being part of a college cheer team is not only about performing routines but also about being a positive role model and a supportive teammate. During my time as a captain for Jv and being captain of varsity my 8th grade year, I learned the importance of effective communication, motivation, and inclusivity. I am eager to bring these leadership skills to the college team and help create a welcoming and high-spirited environment for everyone.
Cheer and Dance has not only been a sport for me but a source of personal growth and resilience. Overcoming challenges, both in training and in competitions, has taught me the value of hard work and determination. I am so excited about the opportunity to continue my cheer and dance journey at the college level, where I can contribute my energy, skills, positive attitude, and passion to a team that shares my dedication to excellence.
