I have been cheering since I was 9-10 years old for Hawaiian Heat. I always loved cheering but once I started to cheer for my high school, I loved cheerleading even more. I felt connected to my school and felt proud to represent my school as a cheerleader and would love to do the same for my college. I take our team motto very seriously as it is "One Team" and feel like this motto is very important in cheer. I put in a lot of time and effort into my sport as I enjoy doing it. This year, my senior year, I got announced as varsity team captain and felt very honored. I do my best ability to own up to my title. I try my best in the sport I love and know that I could still improve so much more. I have many skills and goals that I would love to accomplish in cheer someday and I know that I can do it. I have cheer practices from Monday-Saturdays and use my off day which is Sundays to get tumbling practices in and work on achieving those goals. My sport is very important to me, but so is my academics. I have my own methods to balance my own personal life, school, as well as cheer. I love cheering and would love to do it as my future, but I have a goal to become a nurse. I know and heard it is hard, but I know I can still accomplish all my dreams as long as if I put my time and mind into it.
