I have been interested in Aviation Technologies for a while. I learned about this degree about 1-2 years ago.I have found that I am more of a hands-on learner. I have always been fascinated by everything with an engine in it. I was fortunate enough to take a small engine repair class at my school. Me and my friend have taken apart and put back together lawn mower engines for fun. A few weekends over the summer, I would go to my neighbors house to help him rebuild his Corvette engine instead of going out with friends. I feel I would excel in your aviation program because… I know this is what i want to do for a living
Academics has not always come easy to me. In middle school, I got my official diagnosis of Tourette’s. With this, I am not a traditional learner. I have always needed some side assistance with some assignments. Covid was no exception to this. The school systems were forced to change their curriculum very quickly. Students also had to adapt very swiftly to this change which led to some difficulties. I had trouble navigating each class online with every teacher doing something a little different. During my junior year of high school, I was in a writing class. At the beginning of the year, I wasn’t very confident with my writing but with my teacher helping me through the process. I was able to find my rhythm and started enjoying writing.
I was involved with gymnastics my entire life. I got introduced to Power Tumbling about 5 years ago and school cheer 2 years ago. I have also been in many different club and school sports ranging from Gymnastics to tennis to track and field and many more. I have loved the entire journey and have always tried to stay as active as possible. I joined cheer 2 years ago with very little knowledge of it but now have gained so much knowledge of it. I have dreamed about it for a couple of years and finally decided to join.
