When I was 10 years old, my sister's cheer coach kept asking me to join cheer. I played soccer and ran cross country but every weekend when my sister would have a competition I would go with my family. When her coach asked me to join the team at first I said no but then she gave me a Bakugan (a toy from my childhood) and said if I made the team she would give me another one. I wasn't one to pass up a free toy so I went to a tumbling practice. I ended up loving tumbling and doing flips on the trampoline. After a few classes, I decided that cheerleading was my passion. I joined the team and have been cheering ever since. Cheer is my sport. I had been an all-star cheerleader with Top Gun until Covid when my family had to close their businesses. We moved to Illinois and since then I have been on my Varsity High School team at New Trier High School. I am a leader who inspires my teammates with talent, friendship, and humor. I believe that a team becomes a family and family is important to me. My cheer team is and has always been my family.
