Playing college basketball has been a dream of mine since the beginning of middle school. I have sacrificed a lot since then, including walking away from the opportunity to play other competitive sports. I am still able to have fun doing these other competitive activities but I do not take them as seriously as I do basketball. I believe I am a good candidate for any team because I am a leader, a friend, and a respectful teammate and player. Being a great teammate for me means supporting my team, listening to my coach, and staying focused on ultimate success. That being said, I am also always focused on motivating and lifting up my teammates during our disappointing times. I love being in a team environment and that great feeling when everyone is able to work together to win. I am a very competitive person and I love to use that as motivation to be the best.
As with anything in life--whether it's school, basketball, etc., there will never be a time where anyone will see me not giving 110%. I try my hardest in everything I do and I believe that's all you can ever ask of anyone. I want to play college basketball because I love the game and every single thing that comes with it--the team, the coaches, and the challenge. Personally I can't imagine my life without it.
