Both of my parents served in the United States Army, and because of their selfless service, I have been fortunate to see many places and meet a lot of different people. I know the importance of teamwork and effective leadership. Being a leader isn't defined by being the loudest or most opinionated person in the room. Leadership is developed by assessing team dynamics and filling the role that is most needed for team success. Sometimes this is the "traditional" leader, but sometimes it is the role of the peace keeper. I am strongly rooted in being the best leader I can be in the classroom and in athletics. Leading by example is the most effective way to lead. I am a good candidate for your cheer team because I understand the role of a leader isn't necessary the traditional leader role. I know the importance of integrity and selflessness. I am willing to go the extra mile, not only, for my personal success but for the success of my teammates. I understand that a good education is key to a successful future, and I am willing to put in whatever work is necessary to reach my full potential.
