My main goal in life is to fall in love with life itself. It's adrenaline before you step out on stage, the prayers you say before placing your hands in the air, and trusting your teammates to give it their all for the routine we've been working on for months. I wanna live to do what I love. Coming from a more difficult upbringing, I discovered that the best approach to deal with challenges was to manage and embrace your emotions, which cheer assisted me in doing. When I'm anxious or upset, I go to the gym and am able to channel my feelings into something constructive by working harder to improve my athletic abilities. Others may say cheer is life but for me it’s home. Cheer has always been present in my life. I started at the age of eight and stopped when the pandemic struck. This year, I've decided to join a level four team in order to improve my tumbling and stunting skills. I enjoy taking on difficult challenges; I can work hard and do whatever is required in any situation and any position. I'm always in a joyful mood when I go to practice, usually singing or dancing, and my attitude and demeanor are encouraging and inspirational to my teammates. When we fall, I tell myself, "It's okay, we'll try again” then identify what our group can do to improve the stunt. I enjoy bringing a sense of optimism to the team.
