I am a very dedicated swimmer that has been swimming since the age of 3. Swimming has always been the sport that I have turned to despite doing many other sports. I am always looking to be pushed to do the best that I can do, and pursue the best options for myself. The goals that I have would be to attend the National Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina. I have wanted to attend this meet for years, but never had the cut times to make it. I was on track to qualify for the meet this year until the unfortunate events of COVID-19. My drive to get to practice as much as I could, compete in as many swim meets as I could, and the coaching I have received throughout the years, are the reasons for the swimmer that I am today.
I did take a much needed break over middle school after my parents divorced (2013). Once things stabilized, I realized I missed the water/pool, my coaches, and team mates. I returned to the pool in 2015, and swimming became fun again. It has turned into a true passion, and I drive myself and others instead of my parents requiring me to swim. That is when I realized I had the potential to swim at a collegiate level.
