My name is Janae Carr, and I am a rising freshman eagerly anticipating the opportunities that lie ahead for me as I enter college. As I prepare for my transition to college. I am deeply passionate about cheerleading and have been actively involved in the sport for the past year in high school. I was a competitive gymnast for 11 years prior, competing from levels Excel through level 8, while traveling to many out of state and local area destinations. During these years, I participated in many competitions where I managed top 5 finishes in more than ¾ of the competitions entered. My biggest accomplishment was placing 1st overall in the Maryland State Gymnastics Championship in 2019. Throughout my journey, I have acquired a strong skill at tumbling, exercise, concentration and flying, while also learning the value of agony and defeat. My experience has not only enhanced my skills but has also instilled in me a profound sense of discipline, teamwork, school and team spirit. I am eager to continue pursuing my passion at the collegiate level and contribute to the vibrant cheerleading community. I believe that my extensive experience and dedication to the sport align well with the values and expectations of collegiate cheer. I am genuinely excited about the possibility of joining cheerleading in college and contributing to the spirit and success of a college community.
