I find myself in a unique position. Throughout high school It has taken me a lot longer to find a passion for something or just a genuine interest. The only sport that I have consistently done every year is track but even then I don't have the necessary passion for it. However, this year, my senior year, I decided to join our sideline cheer team and completely fell in love. I attended the optional tumbling clinics offered to our team every week and am continuing them into the competitive season. Joining cheer so late with no experience was a little intimidating at first, however I find myself to be a rather quick learner and was apart of the only base pair able to consistently get our flyer into an extension. During practices our stunt group was also the only one to practice twist cradles and basket tosses. This is my unexpected strength. I am a blank slate with no bad habits, keen to learn and try new things. Our competitive season has just begun and every day I bring 100% to practice knowing I have so much to accomplish and such little time to do it .
