Hello, my name is Nevaeh Ripple, a senior at Gallatin RV High School. Academically, my goal is to major in Social Work. I went through the system as a baby with my parents adopting me at the age of 1. My parents also had several other children come in and out of our home through foster care. There was also a time in my life that I struggled with anxiety and depression that I’ve been able to overcome so I believe having gone through the things I could potentially help others.
Cheerleading has been one of my passions for several years. I started out doing all the mini cheer clinics at school, worked my way into youth cheer in grades 3-6, then became football and basketball cheerleader my 7th and 8th grade year. I was captain in 8th grade. I then went on to make the cheer squad again my 9th and 10th grade year. My 11th grade I didn’t cheer because I was moved to a new school and didn’t get to tryout. At semester I moved back to Gallatin, so last spring I was able to tryout for my senior year! I’m now the captain of our football(14 girls) and basketball(8 girls) cheer squads. I’ve always been a base and back spot and strive to help others on the squad meet their goals as well. I have choreographed the cheer routine for my squad! I also did a UCA camp this summer and tried out for UCA All-American Cheerleader and made it! I performed at Disney World in November at the Varsity Spirit Winter Spectacular! Also, at UCA camp I was voted as MVP! So many things about cheer are rewarding!
Dance is another passion of mine. I am a competitive dancer. I started dancing at the age of 2 and started competing my first solo at the age of 4. I have competed at the Regional and National Level. I have competed with solos, duets, trios, and groups. I have taken Tap, Clogging, Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop. I have competed with Musical Theater, Contemporary, and Lyrical dance pieces as well. I’ve been Student Teaching at my studio for the last 3 years and have done choreography for both our recreation classes and competitive team. Tap and Hip Hop are my favorite as a dancer, but enjoy them all!
