I have been playing since I was in the sixth grade and never thought I would be where I am today. Field Hockey was something I started because I had just moved to America and I had tried it in England and I thought I would give it a try here to make some friends. I never thought that I would keep going with it as long as I have.
Hockey has become my second life, if not my life :-).I know that when I'm out on the field the players I am with have my back and that we can make some awesome things happen. Hockey has been a major thing in my life because it lets me be a person that people don't usually see. But it's not only that, I love everything about hockey. I'm not saying I like losing but when we do lose then I know that I need to change my game and improve on certain things. I love coaching and umpiring too and sharing the knowledge I have of the game with other players. Sometimes it's crazy to think that I have come this far now and that I get to help people realize what hockey can do for them and show them that playing hockey isn't just a sport, it is a way of life and that the players on your team become your family.
