Caroline Smith '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi my names Caroline Smith and I am an upcoming junior at Liberty High School in Colorado. The biggest influence to my field hockey career has been my mom who played through high school and into college. She was my inspiration to start playing and helped me grow my love of the game. 

I am very invested in my academic success and I hope to continue that through college in an academically challenging environment. I hold myself to high standards physically and mentally and always look to excel.

I have played several sports at a high level of competition in addition to field hockey. This includes playing u19 AA ice hockey at 14 as a defender and playing midfield  as a varsity starter my freshmen year in lacrosse. This mix of sports and positions has given me a complimentary skill set which helped me to develop a very versatile set of skills and adaptable mindset. Being multi sport athlete taught me, not only how to balance a schedule, but also how much hard work you must be willing to put in to a gauge success. I’ve learned how to put myself in the right headspace to succeed, while accepting coaching to improve upon myself and my skills, an improvement I hope to continue into my college field hockey career.
