Benjamin Townsend '22 Recruiting Profile

I would love to run in college, and continue on to be Pro. I love to run because it gives me a feeling of freedom and calms me when I am stressed or mad, and it gives me a way to prove I am the toughest guy out there. I am a chill fun guy, but also a tough and focused runner and student. In college I want to study Exercise Science and Kinesiology because I love the study of human mechanics and running mechanics. I started running when I was a freshman and it just came easy to me although I have natural talent I have always been willing to work as hard as it takes to get me where I want to go. My true love is on the trails up in the mountains, I was 5th place at the National High School Trail Championship in 2021. I have been competing up in the trails with pros and ams for about 2 years now and I have had overwhelming success and I have really found the love for trail running.
