I am a conscientious scholar and dedicated multi-sport varsity athlete; a highly respected team member who is disciplined, dependable, and driven on and off the field. I am determined to play field hockey at the Division I, II, or III level.
I have always had an interest in trying new things, whether that be reading, writing, foods, sports, or anything for that matter. For me, field hockey was one of those things, and when the sport became an option in sixth grade, I jumped on the opportunity. Since I was 11 years old, field hockey has played a large role in my life and continues to shape me as an athlete and individual. My devotion to field hockey is strong and I have formed many great friendships through the sport. I am a multi-sport Varsity athlete having made Varsity Field Hockey my freshman year as well as the Boys Varsity Swim Team. It was during this boys swim season that I was selected for the All-Conference Academic Team and qualified for SWCs in the 50 freestyle (PR: 26.36), 100 freestyle (PR: 1.00.36), 200 freestyle relay (Team: 1.50.20), and the 400 freestyle relay (Team: 3:35:34), where my team and I medaled 6th, leading us to qualify for States. I am very quick on my feet (6:33 mile), have a very high field hockey IQ, and am more than willing to dedicate my time and effort to achieve greatness.
I have played for HTC Field Hockey for the past 4 years and also play for Gold Coast Lacrosse on the Gold Team. I was named Player of the Week at the Revolution Field Hockey Camp and this year, am a starting forward on the Varsity Field Hockey Team. I am the leading scorer in both goals and assists.
I pride myself in academics and my school involvement and work diligently to be the best student I can be. It was with this diligence that I received the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence. I actively participate in Relay for Life, Spanish Club and volunteer in the Middle School with the 6th grade Spanish Class during my free time. My freshman year, I took Honors English and Honors Spanish which led me to become inducted into the Spanish National Honors Society. Because of these endeavors, I have retained High Honors and have earned a weighted 4.07 GPA, which I will continue to maintain, if not surpass, during the rest of high school. This year, I am taking AP Spanish, AP English Language, Honors Pre-Calc and Honors American History.
