Sofia Chaves '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Sofia Chaves, I’m a versatile student in the class of 2024 at Saint Joseph High School. I'm very passionate about field hockey. My love for the sport started in 5th grade when I first picked up a stick. Ever since I've devoted my time and life to playing field hockey. I've played club field hockey for several years, played for my town's team in middle and elementary school, and now play on my high school's varsity team s a starter. My love for playing goalie is beyond what words can describe, being in the cage and making saves to help my team is my happy place. I'm excited and determined to further my field hockey goalie career and academics in college. I'm very serious about the sport and very serious about my academic studies. I want to major in business and pre-law. I would love any and all opportunities to play in college so that I don't lose the sport after high school.
