I'm not one of the people who have been playing field hockey since I was five, but I am definitely the one to say that I fell in love with this sport. I had an aunt that was a goalie in high school and when the position became open, she convinced me to try it. While playing this sport I have discovered quite a few things about myself including in order to meet the ultimate goal, I will ask a lot of questions but get the job done, I am willing to do anything and everything to overcome my obstacle, and my love for field hockey is big. I have overcome three knee surgeries with the outcome being a clean bill of health, I've worked hard to get the starting varsity position my sophomore year and hope to keep working to improve. I believe I am a great communicator on and off the field. My visibility of the field helps my teammates positioning and I have worked hard to study where they should be in different situations. I was voted team captain this year (2016) and my overall record being successful ending with ten shut outs out of fourteen games.
I knew I was destined for the medical field at a young age but I was not sure where I belonged. Growing older I became really interested in psychology and social sciences. I would love to study all areas of forensic sciences but also have an understanding of criminology. I put as much work into my athletics as I do my academics and my extracurricular activities. I am a member of National Honors Society, secretary of Key Club and I volunteer regularly.
