My name is Kilee Bradeen, I am now a Senior at Old Town High School, class of 2022. I started playing field hockey in 7th grade and immediately fell in love with the game. I played midfield throughout middle school and I started playing forward the summer before freshman year. I currently start at the center forward position for our school varsity team. I also play Club for U19 Black Bear Elite team and have attended preseason showdown jamboree 8/2020, Shooting Star Blizzard Bash 2/2020. Will be attending the New England College Classic 5/2021 and a NLC Summer camp in august. I have done personal trainings with Brooke Sulinski, a Division 1 University of Maine player, I played at a Harvard 7v7 tournament with a local team in 2019 and I have put in countless hours working on my skills in the off season. I have been a multi-sport athlete since a young age, I play high school varsity basketball in the winter, Maine Sting Woman's Varsity AAU in the winter/spring and continue to make time to focus on field hockey the whole year.
I am in the honors and Stem diploma programs and have received academic awards. I started taking early college classes my Junior year through Husson University and University of Maine. I was inducted into the National Honor Society.
Our varsity field hockey squad had one of the best years in 20/21 by far despite covid and not having our normal conference/ playoffs, we came together as a team. We showed up with fire and determination and went undefeated against playing class A teams. At our virtual banquet, Coach stated, "that I have become more confident in my skills this season and am one of the most skilled players on our team and by far had one of my best years. That I became a beast around the cage and showed strength cutting up and down the field, strong on the ball and off the ball. Was key for our attack and involved in almost everyone of our goals from the back up." My 21/22 senior year season has been amazing. We earned the No. 2 seed with a record of 14-3-0. We Won quarter finals and semi finals which took us to the Northern Maine championship game for the win. We are headed to States on 11/6/21. Ending with Runners up. It had been 33 years since our school had been to a state championship. I helped lead my team in both goals and assists. I received All Conference First Team as well as All Academics.
I believe my work ethic, dedication, teamwork, strength and speed are qualities that I excel in and hope to bring them to the college level with me.
