My name is Madelyn Arsenault and currently attending Old Town High School class of 2022. I wasn't introduced to field hockey until six grade in middle school. I had tried out for the team and discovered that it came very easy to me. I started for my team throughout all middle school and have continued playing in high school. As a freshman I started center forward for my varsity team. I made the Penobscot Valley Conference honorable mention team and was also the leading scorer. My sophomore year I started center mid field for varsity and was selected to the 2019 Maine Field Hockey Association All-State team and made the Penobscot Valley Conference first team. My junior year was vastly impacted bye the pandemic but our team managed an undefeated season and I started every game at center mid field again. I am greatly anticipating my senior year and look forward to a normal season with conference games, playoffs and awards. I've also played U19 club for 2 different teams in the Spring and offseason in the past. I have attended several tournaments throughout New England and am currently playing for Maine Styx U19 team from Portland.
Academically, I have been inducted to the National Honor Society and received Highest Honors recognition. I've taken college level classes and am currently enrolled in the Honors program.
My dedication, commitment and work ethic in both academics and athletics are some of my best attributes that I'm looking to bring to the college level. I am searching for a college with a strong science program for academics and to play field hockey.
