I have been playing field hockey since I was six years old and still have a strong passion for the sport. Over the years playing the game of field hockey has taught me sportsmanship and leadership. It has also led me to have a competitive nature and driving desire to meet my goals. Playing varsity my sophomore year of high school really showed me how important teawork is. Every person on the team contributed and we had an almost undefeated regular season. I aspire to play at the collegiate level to further strengthen my love and passion for the sport. To me, being a part of a field hockey team means being a part of a family. My ability to push towards a goal and not give up carries over into my acadmeics. In school I maintain an A average and do many extra curriculars such as journalism, where I am an editor for the school paper. Overall, I work hard and try to push myself in every aspect of life whether on or off of the field.
