My involvement in competitive sports began as a young child. Participating in gymnastics, diving, and dance helped me learn at a young age, the importance of being a good team player. I became very good at utilizing my time wisely, as I had to divide my time between my studies, my sports, and my other extracurricular activities (church, girl scouts, etc.). I have matured into a team player who is hardworking, competitive, driven, and focused.
Having learned the values of commitment and perseverance, I am willing to work hard to achieve my goals. With aspirations of maintaining a 4.0 GPA and ultimately enrolling in medical school, I know I must work hard and persevere to achieve these goals. I realize hard work isn’t easy, yet I am willing to do whatever is necessary to succeed. Field Hockey has shown me the payoffs and differences that determination and hard work can make. Without field hockey, I would not have learned many valuable lessons about myself both personally and as a team player. Overall, I look forward to finding an amazing field hockey program that will be a good fit for me, both academically and athletically.
