Field hockey has provided me with a close knit family and taught me to be determined, persevere, and work as a team. In my college search, I hope to find all of these qualities and more in the school that I choose. When I first started playing field hockey seven years ago, I never could have imagined the way it would impact my life and develop me as a person. Every time I step on the field, I know that I am doing what I love and have dedicated so much of myself to doing. Being able to play at the college level would be an opportunity of a lifetime. I am a very hard worker and have a strong presence on the field. I form close bonds with my team and try to be a positive and upbeat person, which makes me a leader both on and off of the field. As a student athlete, I recognize that my academics always come first. I work tremendously hard in the classroom, matching my work ethic on the field. I hope to pursue a career in political science and the law; two areas in which teamwork, strong work ethics and a strong sense of self will assist me.
