Since I have been a little girl field hockey has been a huge part of my life. I have always been surrounded by this sport as my mom is a coach. It all started when one of the high school girls on my mom's team bought me my first stick. Ever since that day, I have always had a stick in my hand doing what I love. I started off my field hockey career by being the mascot for my mom's high school team. I would run around crazy on the sidelines cheering for her team. I could not wait till the day I could officially become a Porker. As I got older, I grew out of the costume and then became one of the ball girls. The next year I became the team's manager. Finally, the year after, the time had come that I had always been waiting for, I stepped onto the field as one of those girls I had been looking up to for my whole life. I grew up in a field hockey environment and would not want it any other way. Now I am surrounded by the sport, constantly running from practice to practice, and tournament to tournament. Field hockey has grown to be my passion. I am grateful to be able to play the sport I love every day and would not want anything else but to continue that in my college career.
