When choosing my college and looking into the future, I plan not only to succeed on the field, but in the classroom as well. Field hockey is a huge part of my life, but does not take away from the importance of academics. My goal is to always perform to the best of my abilities and do what I can to support my team. Whether in practice, training, or games, I want to set an example and leave everything on the field.
My family has been most impactful in my athletics because they are always supportive and want me to be the best that I can be. Growing up surrounded by family members who have played and loved field hockey, has deepened my passion for the sport and even formed it into a trait that is associated with me. Through playing field hockey, I have learned the importance of self-confidence and perseverance. Being one of the younger girls on my high school varsity team, I had to earn my spot and continuously play my best even when things got tough.
Playing the sport I love gives me the opportunity to see my work and preparation turn into success.
