My name is Madison Mastrorilli and what I think sets me apart from others is how I use my skills on and off the field. When playing field hockey I never forget to show sportsmanship to everyone on the field. Ever since I could remember I have always shown passion for sports and the beauty that comes with them. I have tried almost every sport and activity, but nothing stood out to me like field hockey. I was inspired by my sister who did the sport her freshman year of high school and I wanted to try it too. Everything clicked to me after my first camp at age 7, that this was what I wanted to do. When I watched the older girls play I stood there in astonishment being so excited to get to that level one day. When I play field hockey everything else doesn't matter in that moment, and I put everything I have into the game and do my best. What makes me a great candidate for a team is that I love to be a team player and help my team succeed! I also love to bring a great attitude on and off the field no matter what. I have been playing with Shore STX Field Hockey Club for 9 years now and have loved every minute of it. I also am on the varsity team for my high school, and in the starting line up. I had been Sneakers Plus Athlete Of The Week and Voted For the APP's Field Hockey Player Of The Week. I had a Hat Trick against Freehold Borough in the first round of the Shore Conference Tournament, which helped us to move up and get in the eighth seed.
