Personal Statement

Ever since I was little I’ve always been interested in Field hockey. I would always see the middle school girls practicing on the field after school. I was always fascinated with the sport because it wasn’t one that we learned in gym and I never really heard of it. Whenever I was in fifth grade I signed up for Field hockey  and instantly fell in love with the sport. I love the competitiveness and the fast pace of the sport. I’ve been a starter since I was in fifth grade since my first year playing field hockey I always started. To me my Field hockey team became like a family. I would never give up on my team even whenever we had not so great of a season I was stuck with them and I was never going to quit just to join another team or another sport because we didn’t have a winning season. All I wanna do is play and play with my friends. I hope this will continue whenever I go to college as well I want my team to feel like a family to me. No matter what I will give 150% effort to anything we do such as games practices and if we do workouts I will always put my all into that I will never do half the work I will do all the work to get where I want to be . I will also put 150% effort into my team I want whatever team I’m on in the future to have fun and have a good time and I will always bring people up and I will never bring somebody down. I would also want my teammates to know that if they ever need somebody to talk to I’m here for them. Yes I play other sports now but I want to pursue Field hockey in college. I want to play in college but I just don’t want to be picked because of my skills I also wanna be picked on my character and the type of student I am. Along with putting 150% into Field hockey, I also put 150% effort into my schoolwork I always strive to get the best grades that I possibly can and if I’m struggling I will go to the teacher and ask them for extra help if I don’t understand something I will never not reach out for help. All in all I have passion for the sport and I so badly want to play in college and be part of a team that I can learn and grow from as a player and as a person.

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
