Field Hockey became a passion for me at age eleven, when I left the world of competitive cheerleading. The sport of field hockey quickly became a way of life, and has taught me many valuable lessons over the years, such as, commitment, time management, and a competitive spirit that I carry with me on and off the field.
The high school, I attend is The Atlantic County Institute of Technology, for the fact that they have a health science academy. Upon choosing this school, an obstacle that became apparent, is that they don't have my sport of choice, AKA field hockey. However, my home high school, OakCrest has allowed me to be apart of their field hockey program as a Freshman varsity starter. This is challenging at times, because many days out of the season I have to leave school early for practices, games, etc. all the while maintaining my academics, which is a priority for me.
Over the last two years my skill set has improved greatly, and I am very serious about being an open minded and coachable player to consistently improve my game. I take pride in being a utility player, coming from a fully offensive middle school background to an indoor hockey and high school defensive player.
In my future, I'm looking to attend a college that first and foremost has my course of study, is academically stimulating, and a hockey team, where I can contribute as an asset, and become part of a family.
