From the time I was in preschool to the present I've played a variety of different sports including softball, gymnastics, track and field, tennis, and soccer. I was always told that I could excel in each and everyone of these sports if I was really passionate about it, but I never fell in love with them the way I fell in love with field hockey. There’s something about being on the field with the clock running and that adrenaline rush that brings me so much joy. After every practice or game I was already looking forward to the next practice or game. My high school team in Montclair has become my second family, and we have such a strong bond on and off the field.
I would say that people would describe me as hardworking, energetic, inclusive, determined, and confident. I am a member of the club S.O.R. (Sisters On the Runway) in my school. This club raises awareness for women that are a victim of domestic violence. We hold charity events and bake sales, then take the money we raised and donate it to local domestic violence group homes and organizations. My current academic goal is to just become stronger in my classes in general. I’d like to raise my GPA, and take harder classes in my junior and senior year of high school.
Thank you for taking time to read my personal statement! And feel free to reach out because there is so much more I’d love to share about myself.
