My name is Allison Stuppi and I am currently a junior at Ocean Township High School, where I work hard to excel in AP and Honors level courses.
I am starting my third year on the varsity field hockey team and am humbled to say that I have been named a captain for the 2018 season.
In short, nothing makes me feel greater than when I am playing field hockey. Every time I pick up a stick I think about how grateful I am to be able to play the sport and to have found something that I am so passionate about.
As much as the sport means to me, my education is just as important. As a junior in high school, I am starting to genuinely realize how critical it is to not only have an education, but to challenge oneself as much as possible. It is inevitable that college will not be easy, so I want to prepare myself for the treacherous, unpredictable road ahead.
I am willing to put in the hard work to advance my play, and excel both in field hockey and school. Not only will I do this to increase my chances of playing at the collegiate level, but also for myself and for all the people in my life who are helping me reach my goal.
