2021 Super Sixty ...Personal Statement
My name is Lindsay Fehir and I am a Junior at Lenape Valley Regional High School in Stanhope, New Jersey. I started playing field hockey in fourth grade, and have been since playing for eight years. I made varsity as a Freshman in high school and start as a center midfielder. For the past five years, I have also been playing midfield on a club team called Cosmic Storm. Additionally, I play varsity basketball and varsity softball for my high school. Playing other sports ensures I keep up my stamina and strength in all muscle groups. Also, by playing different sports, I am exposed to different coaching styles and different team dynamics.
Although I play other sports, field hockey has been my true passion for years, and I cannot see myself in college without it. To help me pursue my dream of playing in college, I regularly go to field hockey camps, clinics, and showcases all throughout the year with my club team, and also as an individual. I am very competitive, yet always a team player who is 100% coachable. I won the Coaches Award at the end of my sophomore season. Recently, I made 2nd team all-conference as a junior for my high school team.
I am open to any program that will help me grow as a field hockey player and any school that will support my love of the sciences!
