I started playing playing field hockey in 5th grade, and with my mother starting at my first coach, started my goalkeeping career. From a young age I was taught how to be agile in my gear and the basic techniques of angles and clearing. After my first season of field hockey, I started further goalkeeper training at Total Dutch Field Hockey. I still continue to do off-season training, and play on their club elite teams.
I have been very lucky to have had one on one training and feedback from my coaches. The all around feedback have benefited my athleticism and my personality. Field hockey has showed me to be a hard worker and never give up, even if things are not going my way.
When I am not in a game, I spend time with my family. We all love to go outdoors, travel, and go camping. I also love to sing, play music, and continue being active with my brother, Joel.
Academics are important to me, and I keep working hard so I can achieve my career goals in life.
I look at college as new chapter in my life, where I can explore new opportunities, and meet new people.
Can not wait for the future!
