Meagan Van Kirk '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Meagan Van Kirk.  I'm a freshman at James Madison University.  I currently play forward for the Club Team.   Along with starting as a forward,  I also tend to play midfield and adjust to both positions.  I would love to be a walk-on for my college team because I know how much I care for the sport and how much effort I am willing to put in wherever I end up. I also played club for three different teams for the last 6 years starting as a forward for the last three years. I started playing field hockey in 4th grade and have learned and progressed into the player I am today due to my love for this sport.  I have always been someone who is willing to give everything for my sport,  and I know it has been for JMU where I am currently playing.

 Although athletics is a huge part of my life, academics will always come first. During my Sophomore and Junior years of high school, I received Honor Roll and was involved in numerous clubs in my high school.  Something that separates me from the rest is the ability to give my all to my sport.  If you have any interest please reach out!
