Hi Coaches, as you may know my name is Lydia Coombs and I'm in the graduating class of 2021. Going into Junior year my goal was to explore more fields of science through my elective APE and Chem honors, and I did just that. I've found my interests lie in the scientific study of medicine and the engineering processes that create technology needed in hospitals and labs. I sustained a 4.0 GPA all throughout high school so far and continue to challenge myself with honors and AP classes. Last school year I finished AP US history with a 5 on the AP exam, and now I'm pushing for the same grade in the AP chem class I will be taking this year. Even with such vigorous classes and field hockey all year round, during the fall season I always manage to go to practice and forget about everything I need to do after and focus on what needs to get done in the moment. I see myself as a great candidate for any team; specifically because I understand the importance of the mental aspects of the game. I've been told I have a great mind for the field and plays, and compared to other recruits I take critics and corrections and apply them to school, my everyday life and of course the game.
