Ava Hendricks '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Ava Hendricks and I am a rising junior at Bloomsburg Area High School. When I first picked up a stick in 7th grade, I knew field hockey was the path I wanted to take! I consider myself an offensive asset to my team by advancing up the field and completing strong, accurate passes. My ball control, forceful drives, and tipping make me a useful forward. Playing relentless and having a coachable mindset allow me to be a successful player, and I strive everyday to learn, improve my skills, and carry new knowledge onto the field. I value the bond I share with my teammates, including the respect we show one another and teamwork that makes us a successful team. Working 3-4 days weekly at Wymans Gym, where I train with my fitness coach to increase my strength and speed abilities, enhances my gameplay and sets me apart from other players. I have never-ending motivation on and off the field, and I am driven to maintain good grades because I prioritize my academic success. When I’m not playing field hockey, I enjoy helping others. At my local elementary school, I spend time with students to improve their social skills and develop their academic abilities in the classroom. I practice with aspiring field hockey players on the Junior High team at my Middle School to assist them in becoming better players, unlocking their potential, and growing their love of the sport.
