I originally started field hockey in a small country high school and transferred to a bigger better "harder" school my junior year. My learning/training at WC changed my game and made me realize what it will take at the next level. I train off and on the field, both on my home turf and at the gym lifting/running. If I would of came to WC at 12yr, when I should of, we wouldn't be having this conversation (ie many team accolades). We're goin after it, in H.S. this yr. so we will see about fixing that. I feel the best is yet to come, for my life, especially in field hockey.
I feel like I can play this game pretty good. and would fit in anywhere where there is commitment toward winning. I have been trained by a great club and great coaches. After getting cut up and beat up I know I can, give it out and take it with the best of them. After trying a few other sports, I basically only do field hockey, it limits my loading, not being multi sport. We are hoping to get some help but for the right team I will consider being a recruited walk on.
I am thankful for the grace of having my parents support me and I am a supportive, unselfish type player. The truth is if I could play field hockey for a living I would do it for as long as I could. I enjoy the hard work and I love the competition. On the field, I intend to display an unselfish relentless force. I like to play to win, its my goal and it never gets old. It doesn't matter to me who gets it done as long as it does. I will be coachable and would love to play for a top competitive D1 college program. I love to pass the ball on target almost as much as beating the defense and scoring.
Through field hockey, I have continued to make progress and positive friendships with my teammates. I plan to pursue a Business Major with a Communication or other Financial Minor. Hopefully, I can land somewhere in the hockey corporate community. Maybe even have my own business. I would absolutely like to thank all the coaches, helping me to reach for the "best I can be". I'm not there yet, I'm a late bloomer and I want my next coach to get me to that level.
