Hi! My name is Carlyn Segrave-Daly. I am a senior at Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Throughout my life, I have always had a strong passion for sports. Whether I was competing or watching, sports have consistently had a strong influence on me. I began running in the 6th grade. I grew up playing nearly every sport under the sun with my dad as my coach. My dad was a runner as well but never pursued it in school, which pushed me to participate in track and field and cross country. Previously, I raced for my middle school, a summer club, and my CYO team. Freshman year I transferred into Bishop Shanahan from a public school. When it came to running, my freshman year was successful however, I struggled immensely with my academics. After losing what would have been a solid second year, it occurred to me that I needed to start training smarter and harder. During lockdown, I made it a priority to get any sort of physical activity in. I have since found great enjoyment in running. I have worked hard throughout this rough patch in my high school career to make sure that I come out with a bang for my senior year. I aspire to continue racing in college and I hope to make a great addition to your team!
