My name is Isabella Hite and I am a four sport athlete. Competitive athletics, specifically field hockey, have been a big part of my life since elementary school. I believe I possess a keen field awareness and presence. While participating in athletics, I have developed the necessary skills of a strong leader on and off the field by serving as team captain as well as mentoring younger athletes at the lower and middle school levels. Throughout high school, not only have I personally taken an extremely active role in athletics, but I also have had the opportunity to assist with developmental camps for rising youth athletes. Dedication to my peers is not limited to play on the field; I love actively supporting all teams in my school community as a fan as well. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a love for sports. My passion has evolved to where I compete at a varsity level in all three high school seasons, including two varsity Fall sports. In particular, my love for field hockey sparked during my freshman year. I was a starting attacker and had big ambitions. High school level field hockey provided the first full year of competition on turf. The game of field hockey was completely transformed into the fast paced competitive game I love today. My team saw continued success throughout the past three seasons ending the 2021 season with competing in the 1A WPIAL Championship. My love for the game has continued to grow as I learned new skills while competing on an indoor travel field hockey club team over the past two winter seasons. Teamwork, hard work and dedication are extremely important to me. I put 110% effort into everything I do and I am always striving to grow not only as an individual, but as a team unit. My personality and determination make me very coachable and I desire constructive criticism to improve my game.
My passion to help others extends to my personal life as well, as I plan to pursue a Bachelor of Science in nursing. In the classroom, my determination carries through as I currently hold a 4.10 GPA. While not only focusing on my studies, I too am an active participant in my school community. I recently campaigned and was successfully elected to serve as my school's Head Prefect (student council president) for my upcoming Senior year. I am also the co-founder and head of the gaga ball club, member of the school choir and the students of service committee. My goal is to attend a college that will challenge me to become the best version of myself academically, athletically, and personally.
