Getting to not only play but start at districts my freshman year has to be one of my favorite field hockey memories so far. Even though it was the only game we were able to play at districts that year, we had so much fun together as a team. I have so many fond memories from playing field hockey going all the way back to my first indoor season as a fifth grader. I have my older sister, Maddy, to thank for it all. I saw her play her first game as a high school freshman and decided then and there that I wanted to play, too. Despite being four years apart in school, we had numerous opportunities to play together at indoor tournaments and off-season games. Playing hockey has taught me multiple things. To begin with, it's taught me how much I am capable of doing and with hard work, I know I can do whatever I set my mind to. It's also taught me how important teamwork is and how valuable each person on the team is. No matter the score and outcome of the game, we keep pushing and encouraging one another with all our hearts. We win together, and we lose together!
