My love for field hockey began in 7th grade, I remember not knowing what position I wanted to play but when the coach mentioned he was in need of a goalkeeper, I knew it was time to step up. I played for Strayer Middle School in 7th grade, Faith Christian Academy in 8th, and will finish out my high school career at Quakertown Senior Highschool. During My 8th-grade year, I played my indoor season with Souderton Strikers and during the spring had the fantastic opportunity to train with Emily Snowden and play for Mayhem Field Hockey! I currently play with FSC Falcons and train with Kelly Broadway, I plan to continue at FSC through high school. I am a JV starter and have worked hard enough to earn 270 varsity minutes over a senior goalkeeper my freshman season! One thing that stands out about me as an athlete is my determination. I take every practice seriously and put all of my effort in every day. If I let in a bad goal I talk to my coaches and sort out my flaws the following day at practice. I never have, and never will let hard times degrade me, I use the most challenging situations and turn them into a reason to work harder. If I mess up a skill, I go home and work on that skill until I get it right, I never let quitting become an option. Although I strive for individual success, I love to see nothing more than my team succeed. If I am not actively in the game, I make sure I am cheering the loudest on the sidelines, If I'm in the game I encourage my team at every chance I can. I work hard, I own up to my mistakes, I take leadership, and most importantly I never give up.
