I’m different than everybody I know. I don’t have any social media, and I like to read a biology textbook before bed. I don’t watch a lot of TV or play videogames, and I prefer it that way. I’m proud of these differences because they are what makes me unique. It’s my motto to be my own person and be the best I can be for my various sports teams and in school.
Playing soccer with my club team for the past five years has really shaped me as a person and a player. Soccer has taught me the value of teamwork, communication, and a little bit of elbow grease! I have never shied away from working my hardest to be the best that I can at whatever sport I am playing, because I believe that standing out is a good thing. I know I can bring passion and enthusiasm to any program with my love for soccer, because I have learned to love being a leader who my teammates respect and also enjoy being around.
I’m looking for a school where I can be a student-athlete, not an athlete who is secondarily a student. I have no doubt that I will love college and work hard, and I am currently thinking that I want to pursue my dream of studying medicine and becoming a doctor. I know that there is not anyone else as hardworking, well-studied, passionate, and as unique as I am.
Thank you for reading my personal statement and I really hope you reach out to get to know me better.
