Hope Haynes '23 Recruiting Profile

I have wanted to be a collegiate athlete since I was a little kid. Since my mom is an athletic trainer, I have literally been around sports my entire life. I currently attend The Kinkaid School, which is a PreK-12 independent school in Houston, Texas. Kinkaid has instilled the importance of strong academic rigor and excellence in all that I do. Not only am I an extremely competitive player on the field, but I also love facing new challenges every single day. Field hockey has taught me the importance of community, so I give back by coaching the little kids at my club. It's so much fun and I believe it is important to be able to explain a skill down to the fundamentals, so it's easier to understand the skill for yourself.  In addition, I love the idea of being a part of something bigger than myself, and I can't wait to represent my future school.
