Hello! My name is Maria Papas and I am a Junior at Justice High School in Falls Church, Virginia. I am a three-sport starting varsity athlete, but I am most passionate about field hockey. I picked up hockey my freshman year of high school and instantly fell in love with the sport. Since then, I have joined HUSEL Hockey Club and it is now my goal to play at the collegiate level. I am very hard working and put 100% effort into every game. I love learning new things and have been told I am a very coachable athlete. I have kept a 4.2 GPA and have gotten straight A’s and B's all throughout high school. I am currently taking full IB and I am going for the IB diploma. I am also president of the Best Buddies club, part of the Spanish and National Honors Society, and a member of LLS and Key Club. Although I have a lot more to learn about hockey, I will always be putting in the time and effort to improve. If you give me a chance, you won’t be disappointed!
