My name is Ava Donohue. I am currently a 17-year-old senior at The Madeira School. I have played field hockey since 7th grade. I began playing goalkeeper in 8th grade at my previous school, Cold Spring Harbor High School. In my 9th grade year, I made the varsity team, where I was the starting goalie and had 160+ saves over the course of 15 games. I won Honorable Mention All-County that year. In my current year, senior year, I am now a 2-year captain and starter of my school's varsity team. I am also a 3-year captain of my school's varsity softball team, where I play starting catcher. I am coachable, a hard worker, and a spirited athlete. I continue to grow as my field hockey career continues, and I hope to play at a college level!
